hi,

i managed to compile the RKWard OS X port against a binary installation of
CRAN R packages (2.15.3 and 3.0.0). that is, to successfully install this
bundle, you must *first* install R from CRAN (it doesn't check yet, though):

 http://sourceforge.net/projects/rkwardextras/files/MacOSX/needs_CRAN_R/

this might become the most convenient solution for mac users, as they are
probably already using an installation of R and can now install RKWard on top
of it. it should finally also make it possible to install all packages in
binary format without running into missing libraries. [apple is stuck with GCC
4.2 because it's the last under GPL 2 and they don't like GPL 3, so CRAN R
packages crave for rather outdated libraries which can no longer be provided
by an up-to-date MacPorts installation -- GCC 4.2 doesn't build any longer...
it's a real mess...].

also, the bundle size could be reduced significantly:
 874M RKWard-0.6.0_R-2.15.1_KDE-4.8.3_MacOSX_bundle.dmg
 356M RKWard-0.6.1-svn4679_KDE-4.10.1_needs_CRAN_R-3.0.0.dmg

please test it!
