I tried the following instructions that Joseph sent me, regarding adding fonts and running xftcache.
Joseph, you said to add the directory /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Truetype to /etc/X11/Xftcache; did you mean add it to /etc/X11/Xftconfig? I tried that, but still no joy.
