Ok, I re-installed and ran kconfinst, and I get the error when I click "apply" having installed the truetype fonts. During the "apply" action, I got five errors regarding afm fonts, but it let me continue. However, the problem is when kfontinst tries to refresh the font server (??). The error is:
"There was an error using the X refresh command." After this, once I log out and in, KDE doesn't start and I can't work out how to fix the problem, so I have to re-install. Any ideas?
