I tried the video card setup in the control panel (kxconfig). It created /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and since then only this file will be used by X. How do I tell X to go back to using the old /etc/XF86Config?
The 2 files are different formats, for XFree versions 3 and 4. I don't understand why now only a vers. 4 config file will be used. kxconfig does not setup my card correctly. There is no manual in existence it seems. I looked on the homepage. Currently my screen is totally messed up, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I just need the default settings.
