Toate wellgate-urile au cam acelasi firmware, asa ca iata procedura:
1. te legi pe seriala device-ului
2. pornesti minicom-ul (9600 8N1 no flow control - doar 3 fire conectate)
3. pornesti wellgate-ul
4. la inceput, are o secventa in care daca-i dai enter in primele 3
secunde intra in boot mode; evident, ii dai enter atunci
5. iti va cere username-ul si parola: username=water password=3333
6. dai p sa-i schimbi parola (aici nu sint sigur; vezi help)
mai jos ai procedura de upgrade folosind boot mode. astept berea ;)
Update WG3806 in boot mode Procedures
Prepare the following before You starting.
- Turn OFF Wellgate 3806
- Connect console port cable from WG3806 to PC
- Connect WG3806 and PC to an local LAN
- Install tftp program to your PC and activated the tftp program
- Put download file (i.e. 2MWG3806.111) and tftp program at the same
directory in your PC
- Activate HyperTerminal program from your PC
Now, Turn ON power supply of Wellgate 3806. You will see the following
display from HyperTerminal display of your PC.
Attached TCP/IP interface to cpm unit 0
Attaching interface lo0...done
Please wait while system is initializing .......... ----> press
enter within 3 seconds.
Now it is in BOOT MODE.

Note, all IP Address must be in the same subnet mask and default gateway.

Note: if it is not successful, try to change another IP Address for
Wellgate 3806 at - Target addr: 192.168.119.119 and repeat step 1
again.

Starting at 0x2800100...
After download is finished, all the settings will return to default
values including IP
address (default IP address is 10.1.1.3) and MAC address, so please
re-configure IP address
and MAC address and reboot it.
Configure the MAC address with the command
setmac
(Note: Each network device MUST has an unique mac address which are 12
digits length. The H.323 gateway has to re-configure an unique mac
address after this upgrade procedure. An unproper operation may be
happened if mac address is duplicated with other network device.)

(It means to press enter key each time after key in two characters.)
You can find the device MAC address from the label which is located at
the bottom of Wellgate 3806 metal case. Now, give the following two
commands.
flash -clean
reboot
Now, you can start to configure your setting on Wellgate 3806.
