Thanks Tim, Even at this early stage I am coming to the conclusion that Debian will probably be my distro of choice for multiple platforms.
While the involved reading is not "fun" it is understandable, if only the CCNA texts were as understandable.
I find it amusing that the authors of Linux texts will only give scant acknowledgment to distros other than the one they write about. Even though they all acknowledge the genisis of Linux they all reach different conclusions on installers, window managers and package managers.
For all the differences the worst texts read better than the best texts about Windows.
