Some ISP services have enabled the blocking of Port 25, which will deny their 
users the ability to send e-mails to a remote server. This is a typical 
precautionary measure to reduce the amount of spam sent.

 

Below is a list of known ISPs that currently block Port 25, and the default 
SMTP servers that must be used according to their Support Centers.

Try "mail.bellsouth.net" first. The SMTP server depends on which city you are 
located in, if "mail.bellsouth.net" does not work, please contact BellSouth 
Access Support for the correct information. 


Verio

In order for you to successfully send e-mails, you must first "POP" your Verio 
e-mail account by activating the SMTP server, and then use 
"smtp.veriomail.com" for all outgoing SMTP server settings within your e-mail 
client.
