Opinions, please: Is NAT useless for a DMZ where all hosts have static (i.e., one-to-one) translations?
My opinion is YES. If all hosts have static mappings, why not just put them on public addresses?
However, it is not uncommon for me to overlook something. Hence this e-mail to my favorite list...

if you have some form of port filtering going on with that 1:1 mapping it could be useful, however i would say a general no to using nat for security through obscurity purposes.
