I was very excited when I saw that article and read it eagerly. I was
dissapointed to find that none of the contenders "replaced" Exchange in
the sense of duplicating its functionality. Too many Outlook/Exchange
APIs (i.e., most) are undocumented, and Linux solutions are unable to
reproduce some core Exchange functionality. :-(

        Linux journal did an article a few months back about a
        group of developers that made an exchange replacement. They
        were able to completely replace the exchange server with
        all functionality ( at least if I remember right.)
