Ugg, I have SC2k and Rail Road Tycoon II ported by Lokigames for Linux.
I haven't had any luck at all getting either to work under Linux, though
they do seem to work under FreeBSD's Linux emu.

Unless someone has made a major breakthrough on getting Loki-ported
games to work on the newer GLIBC2.3 based distros (as with the case of
FC2), you are out of luck. The GLIBC in the newer Linux distributions
simply doesn't work with the statically linked Lokigames stuff, and
update patches are unlikely since Loki bit the dust long ago.

Sam, did you make a break-through in this area? I know you were
suffering from the same issues in Debian.

A better bet is to use WineX to run your Windows games under Linux. I
subscribed to WineX ($5/mo) and downloaded the WineX binaries, but I
wasn't able to get SimCity 4 to work under WineX. I must admit that I
didn't try very hard though - when I have more time I'll give it another
shot.
