Well, people have used this forum to post jobs in the past, so policy has essentially been "set", so I don't have a problem doing the same.
I'm letting you all know that there is a job opening, not yet posted with the state that you may find interesting. The role will be primarily working with Nagios on Linux setting up enterprise monitoring and reporting for the systems in our datacenter here in Carson City. The platform the app will be running on is Suse Linux on the mainframe which is kind of an interesting beast. The systems that will be monitored are our IBM RS6000's, Suse Linux Guests/RHEL boxes, and Windows XP / Server 2003, possibly some network hardware as well. The pay grade is 38 (I think). You can see the ranges here: http://dop.nv.gov/salaries.html. The work environment is pretty casual. They are open to open source, there are provisions for working from home on occasion, and the benefits are decent. The retirement packages are very good. And our department is growing. Contact me off list if you'd like more info. -RYAN _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
