Yeah.. what he said... definitely yank out everything that isn't absolutely critical to boot/install... extra RAM would be one piece. I'm not sure what was meant by mentioning that knoppix hung while installing... do you mean while knoppix was coming up? Or while you were running knoppix-installer?
