New problem with VMWare and Windows:

The Win2k guest will not boot. It gets as far as "Preparing Network
Connections." and then stops. It was working just fine on Thursday,
I shut it down Thursday night, left town for 4 days, came back yesterday
and that is what happened. Nobody has used my computer, I did no os
updates - NADA.

Win2k WILL boot in safe mode, safe mode with networking but I did not
try command prompt. However, when I do a shut down in those modes,
VMWare locks up. This is crazy. I have a lot of stuff installed in
that VM now and it would be time consuming and a royal pain to re-do it.

Extra details: Suse 9.1 Pro, VMWare Wkstn 4.5.1

If it were a plain windows box I would think it involved a driver issue
- but again I haven't updated any drivers.

Any thoughts out there?

(And yes I have searched the VMWare site for help - not finding anything
except a recommendation for SP2 - I have SP4 installed)

Thanks

Dennis
