IBM is pretty Linux friendly and I know they preload machines with it. HP does too in their business line. (The home line isn't even worth looking at.) The prices are a little higher to buy from big companies like that, but the 3-year warranty is nothing to scoff at. It's the price of a replacement hard drive and if the last month is any indication of the reliability of hard drives a warranty will pay for itself twice over.

And recommendations on a vendor? Anybody building these locally? It would be nice if Fedora Linux x86_64 was preloaded. _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug _______________________________________________ RLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.rlug.org/mailman/listinfo/rlug
