All, I've left the group in the capable hands of Sebastian, as I have decided that Linux is a dead end and a complete waste of my time. I've switched purely to OSX now, and will be heading up the MacOSX users group. Good luck Sebastian! Now that you've all spit out your coffee, I'll let you in on what is really going on. I've accepted a job in the bay area with the University of California system. It is a Senior UNIX Admin position, so this will give me a chance to get me hands dirty with some even more Linux stuff. I'll be doing primarily Linux Admin of course, with some cross over into Solaris and AIX. To the group, it has been a pleasure meeting with you all as well as leading the meetings. The next time I am in town during a meeting, I'll be sure to drop in and say hello to everyone, as well as troll any Slackware users in the room. For those *BSD users out there, this is also your group. Don't let those pesky Linux people push you around. We have a cooler mascot anyway. Cheers! Mark |
