Spamassassin does have built in support for this sort of thing,
including Vipul's Razor[1] and the Distributed Checksum
Clearinghouse[2]. I really haven't looked into how these work
recently, but I do know that I've got razor turned on in my
spamassassin config:
~/.spamassassin/user_pref:
use_razor2 1
[1] http://razor.sourceforge.net/
[2] http://www.rhyolite.com/anti-spam/dcc/
I use razor and DCC at work. Combined they take out a high percentage of
our spam. If you're not using them I suggest turning them on, as they
aren't difficult to configure.
