Guess it depends on your distro ;) What distro are you running?

Rather than /dev/sd* it should mount as a USB device like /dev/ttyUSB0
or /dev/ttyUSB1. You can always watch the output of 'dmesg' to see how
it mounts when you plug it in and hit its sync button.

Dennis,
My guess is that is would show up as /dev/sd[a-z]. The problem is -- if
the device is not removed from the system properly the letter could
change, so hard coding sometimes causes problems.
I've never synced a PDA in Linux, so I can't offer much assistance ;)

Hey folks.
Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 5.1 (Breezy) I have not been able to sync my
Sony Clie PDA.
It plugs into a usb port with a funky little cable.
Under VMWare with Win2K I can see the device but not sync.
I'm unsure of what the dev name / path should be on the configuration on
the Linux side.
Any ideas?
