Uh Sebastian?  As per the original post: "Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 5.1 (Breezy)...."

When I look in /dev I have sda(-,1,2,5) and ditto for sdb

Brian: When I look in /dev there is no ttyUSB* until I try to Hotsync then I get BOTH
ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1  !!!????  Do not understand why both pop up.

HOWEVER - Forgot about the hotplug concept with USB.  When I change kpilot settings to look for a device /dev/ttyUSB0
it worked (On the Linux side at least)  Thanks!

NOW though I'm detecting a new and different problem:  when I looked at dmesg I'm getting
sr0: CDROM not ready.  blah blah

And that error is showing over and over.  What's that about?

Guess it depends on your distro ;) What distro are you running?
