Hello

RobinHood has to be installed on a *CLIENT* node. Not MDS at all.
I think this answers all your questions :)

Hello,
We are testing robin hood 2.5.1 tmpfs mode with Lustre 2.4.3 running on rhel6.4. My MySQL and WebUI are installed together on a separate server. I have a few installation questions that hopefully someone can answer. #1 Do the robin hood rpms only need to be installed on the MDS server? We have MDT MGS on same server #2 Can we install the rbh-report et. al. utilities on another server or network area to avoid running these commands from the MDS server? If so do we just need to have a stripped down config file with just the MySQL db login information to connect in to the MySQL db and gather report stats? Such as
MySQL
    {
        server = "mysqlserver" ;
        db     = "robinhood" ;
        user   = "robinhood" ;
        password_file = "/etc/robinhood.d/.dbpassword" ;
        # port   = 3306 ;
        # socket = "/tmp/mysql.sock" ;
        innodb = enabled ;
    }
So we can do    rbh-report -f /some/dir/lustsre.conf
From a server other than the MDS, perhaps the mysql/webui server.
#3 Since we are using the MDT changelogs and not file system scans do we need to have the Lustre file system mounted on to the MDS server which has the robin hood services ?
Thank you,
