Comment #3 on issue 995 by filip.noetzel: Mac OS X: IOError: [Errno 35]

I'd have to test other BSD environments, sure. At the moment (especially
after I found the bug report for the Trac project) I don't think it's
special to my environment. Except maybe that it's Mac OS X. Or it might be
a very fast machine (latest MBP, i7, 3rd gen SSD).
Regarding "fatal exeption": I have the impression that the error occurs
more likely if there is a "Fatal Error" (as in
http://robotframework.googlecode.com/hg/doc/libraries/BuiltIn.html#Fatal
Error) very early in the run of a test suite with lots of test cases. Then
Robot Framework prints the long list of all the test names of the tests
that FAILed. I suspect a race condition between closing sys.stdout and
writing to it.
I'd say I get this error in about 1/3 of all cases with this precondition.
This bug is especially nasty because part of the teardown's are not run and
I have to close all the child processes that occupy ports by hand.
The good news is:
I haven't encountered this since I added the lines mentioned above, will
keep you posted on longtime (~2 weeks maybe?) results.
