Ok, let's get an alternative extension for plain text files into the next
release. I'll discuss with other devs would having a separate extension for
resource files help with RIDE and other tools that introducing it would
make sense.
Alternative extensions for other file types can be added later if there are
needs. If issue 1283 is implemented, users can also add custom extensions
themselves.
