meta-data to a test case

It would be good to add Name/Value meta-data pairs to a test case
definition. This meta-data then to be written to the report xml file.
The motivation for this is that i'd like the manual test case Id (from
Quality Center) to be written to the output xml file. Then I can post
process the output xml file and update Quality Center statuses.
However it could be done in a generic way as above.
