Yep, I agree completely. Unfortunately, the idea was for me to clean up
the code in our default keywords definitions without necessarily forcing a
change upon the user. Unfortunately this is the way keywords are currently
defined for us, and changing it would require quite a bit of a struggle
clerically.
Honestly I feel like we can do better at creating a testing language that
works well with robot framework. I intend on basically deprecating
keywords that prove to be too difficult to maintain, but I thought that the
resolution of this issue would help me get the code to a more readable and
usable state until then.
But you provide very pertinent reasons why a true solution won't be easy to
implement.
