The White House Project, a non-profit group that aims to get women into leadership positions, has compiled a list of eight women it believes could be considered credible presidential candidates for 2008. The list includes Sens. Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Susan Collins (R-ME), Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX), Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano (D), Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius (D), Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin (D), and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.Meanwhile, a new poll finds 79% of Americans were willing to vote for a woman president and 64% said America was ready for a woman president. http://politicalwire.com/
