I can't do it. Finally, something has frozen my fingers on the keyboard and I can't find the words. This particular column has been started and thrown out a dozen times. I have a bottomless pit of words, as anybody who knows me can attest, and now I can't find the good ones. So, I'm starting over again. This time, throwing away all other attempts at good writing, I'm just going to let go and let it pour out.

As you may know, new pictures have been released from Abu Ghraib. They are horrible, but what has my heart writhing in pain is the narrative. In this link, in addition to some pictures, is the story of two men. One, an American soldier who was told to serve at Abu Ghraib, the other an innocent Iraqi man who was tortured.
