Comment (by stha02):

There have been some changes for SpaceBot, but actually reasonable ones.
Before that the driver just supports JPEG images using the internal
GStreamer conversion (has been required for the Gumstix cameras). Now it
supports the choosen image format and the conversion to jpeg runs
 externally.

 Please test the following:
Set '''camera.camera_format''' to one of these values:
 :MODE_GRAYSCALE (video/x-raw-gray), :MODE_RGB (video/x-raw-rgb),
 :MODE_UYVY (video/x-raw-yuv) or :MODE_JPEG (image/jpeg).

 And '''camera.output_format''' accordingly.
 :MODE_UNDEFINED for no conversion or :MODE_JPEG for a jpeg-conversion.

With 'gst-inspect-0.10 v4l2src' you can get a list of formats, which
should be available (does not mean that all of them will work
 unfortunately).

 Please post your results.
