It would make a few settings / screens easily accessible. These are the things I would put in a customisable quickmenu: - view current playlist - browse config files - sleep timer - crossfeed on/off (only on off, not the whole submenu) - eq on/off - brightness basically, every setting/screen I need to access regularly. Of course everything can be reached with the main menu, but that's not the point, a quick menu is a shortcut. If I put 5 settings there I can navigate them without looking at the screen. that's not possible with the main menu. with the full customisable quickmenu, a 'user folder' can be integrated easily, that's why I think everybody can find a menu configuration to be happy with with this option. If the quickmenu is removed completely, then we have the old discussion all over again what to do with the spare button...
