As for making the "recent bookmarks" menu item permanent... NO WAY! its there by default which means you have to want to remove it for it to go away, so its not going to magically disappear for people who arnt expecting it... and its been like that for 15 months already and noone is complaining about it...
I just checked and it's not there by default (reset settings), so it might be that the reason why people are not complaining is that they don't even know about it. One possible solution is changing the default of course but I still think that this point needs discussion (maybe in a seperate thread though). "Recent bookmarks" is the only dynamic menu, as far as I'm aware of, and in my eyes it is really inconsistent when to e.g. the database item is static in the menu even for people who don't use it (and no-one complained here either). And *no*, I'm not suggesting to make it dynamic too, rather make "Recent bookmarks" static and maybe revise the order of the main menu a bit, so it is not at the top. Something that just crossed my mind thinking about this was to have "Resume playback" at the top so there's another easy way to resume from the main menu?
