4.4.0 did not get patched, because it's not clear any apply. The diff
for 4.0.3 probably wouldn't work. I could "interpret" the contents of
the diff myself, and modify the corresponding file in 4.4.0 if necessary.

Well, apparently I was mistaken. If you can compile succesfully without
these patches, they aren't needed (they are to make things work, so if
it works, they're not needed).
I am not clear about this. Perhaps someone who knows what's going on
could time some time and explain.
Well, 4.4.0 doesn't work, in a sense. Rockbox is broken when compiled
with it.
