The gameplay is now altered. Although the playing area is taller, the
blocks have not changed in size. This results in the ball moving at
greater vertical speeds (to compensate for the increased height) while
the sides of bricks (a valid target) remain the same. This means that
the movement of the ball relative to the bricks is drastically different
on portrait targets than landscape targets now.
A proper change to use the full screen should include the bricks also
being increased in height so that the entire ratio of the playing area
is preserved, rather than just the empty space.
Developers should not make *gameplay* adjustments to plugins just to
fit their whims. If something is to be fixed it should make the gameplay
follow the same rules on all targets. People would be upset to find that
the card values in blackjack were different between each target, and yet
it's okay for the difficulty of Brickmania to be different between
targets for no reason other than aesthetic desire of a single
programmer? Especially when it was more consistent before?
