I am interested in working on an ARM emulator as part of Google Summer of Code. I am going to look at SkyEye to potentially use as a starting point, but I am interested to hear if anyone knows of another ARM emulator that might be better.

I know people are successfully working on embedded Linux for ARM using qemu. qemu emulates whole systems, not just the ARM part. Also, it supports MIPS and coldfire etc already which also makes it a compelling software to work with for potential Rockbox stuff.

Other advantage of QEMU: there already is a basic port for the Ingenic Jz4740 (MIPS), see qemu-jz.
