As a feature, I have no objections to the conacept. I haven't looked at the
implementation, but I understand that it is concerns about the
implementation that people are expressing opinions about, from the point of
view of reverting. Operationally, however, I would agree that this feature
just sounds like it isn't "finished" - why not have a setting in the debug
menu, for example, if this is supposed to be a 'developer only' feature, or
why not have a real menu option and manual documentation if this is supposed
to be a user feature. I don't think you could argue against those concerns.
