I'm confused. You indicate that it is ONLY ASCII or EVERYTHING else by this statement:

The current list software gives us no other option" But before you stated that you accept ISO-8859 encodings and ASCII: "We have found that some non-ASCII emails can crash certain email clients. This is another reason we have the filter set to accept only Latin-1, Western European ISO, ISO-8859-1, ASCII, etc. postings." I am not sure I understand. From you previous repsonse you seem to indicate that the list server can be configured to accept multiple encodings. You stated that: "and I will not choose an option that lets email crash people's software or computers." The encoding, UTF-8 WILL NOT CRASH computers as it is compatible with US-ASCII, just like ISO-8859 series of standards. So, I am not sure I understand the issue?
