Putem comunica in romaneste, suntem doar intr-un grup de utilizatori
romani :).
In privinta problemei: si eu am o placa de baza Gigabyte cu un
controller Promise FastTrack. Din cate tin minte FreeBSD 4.5-RELEASE nu
avea suport pentru astfel de controlere, a aparut mai tarziu in
4.x-STABLE (undeva prin Martie-Aprilie). Deja in FreeBSD 4.6-RELEASE si
respectiv 4.6.2-RELEASE exista suport !
Sfatul meu: incearca 4.6.2-RELEASE sau 4.6-RELEASE. Preferabil
4.6.2-RELEASE, are o gramada de bugfix-uri.
Daca preferi CD-uri decat sa faci download pe FTP la distributie iti
pot trimite, contra cost prin ramburs, kit-ul de 4.6.2-RELEASE (sau alte
versiuni). Pentru 4.6.2-RELEASE (2 CD-uri) pretul este 100.000 lei.
PS: numai ca sa verifici ca iti merge poti sa faci download la
bootdisk-uri de pe FTP si sa le incerci. Le gasesti aici:
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/4.6.2-RELEASE/floppies/
