Looks like maybe the category restrictions on the feeds are broken, and you
always get things in any category.

No, that doesn't seem right. That bus ball post is in category "Java"
and is showing up in both of these feeds:
http://www.raibledesigns.com/rd/feed/entries/rss?cat=Java
http://www.raibledesigns.com/rd/feed/entries/rss?cat=Roller
Right - and in the Roller authoring (and rendering) UI - it shows up
under "The Bus" category.
