Sorry about the much delayed response, but here's an idea...
One important area that has been neglected is Roller's interface to
MT-Blacklist.
ROL-520: Blacklist hangs if behind firewall
ROL-630: Blacklist update lacks configurability
ROL-801: Blacklist update should download changes only, not whole file
It's probably less than 2-3 days work to revamp the Blacklist handling
code. If you're interested, take a look at the code and propose how
you'd like to fix it.
I'm interested in fixing this stuff, but probably won't have time until
after 2.0.
