hi,

not exactly sure what you mean ... do you want the roller application user interfacce available as a portlet? my guess is that getting roller's struts-based UI into a portlet is going to be tricky at best. i don't know of any fool-proof mechanism for sucking in an arbitrary web app into a portlet.

do you simply want to package the roller web app within the portlet web app? a portlet web app is a superset of a "regular" web app, so no problem there i would imagine.

another option is to build a portlet client that interacts with roller by consuming rss or atom feeds, and the in-progress atom publishing protocol or the existing metaweblog api support.

Hello Roller World,
I am thinking of having a Music Database App that will integrate with Roller,
will it be possible to package Roller as a portlet that will be deployed on the
Jetspeed Portal Server and let Jetspeed handle authentication. I am still
learning Java and also thinking of pursuing my masters in software engineering
so please bear with me if this is not an appropriate topic to discuss here.
 Thanks
