Maybe it doesn't. I'm going by my known-to-be faulty memory.
Either way, I will make it work for 3.0.
I think this is still an important issue though. We want our plugins to
be powerful enough to do interesting things without having to be overly
complicated. So keep us apprised of how this goes so that we can make
sure the plugin architecture is really serving our needs.
