What about getting an updated Japanese translation in 3.0? Is it too
late to put that in or could we do it between RC's?

Sorry, I meant SEPTEMBER 15th.
We're trying to get an RC out this week, so I'd vote -1 on that just
based on timing.
However, I'd like to rally folks for a quick follow-on 3.1 release a
month after 3.0 to address bugs and minor improvements.
