i am unfortunately and reluctantly +0 on this. we consume the AAPP SDK
from roller, and we have the requirement for a while longer to support
jdk 1.4.
that being said, this feature is only consumed by us at this point
AFAIK, so it doesn't seem correct to ask the entire project to stick to
jdk 1.4 because of this (which is why i'm not -1). i suppose we could
host the AAPP SDK code outside of roller, or maybe have a special stand
alone build target so it can be built separately w/ jdk 1.4. that is
ugly though when a build starts depending on multiple jdk versions.
