Bah, maybe I am being picky here but it really bothers me that you
cannot delete a user. Eventually you end up with thousands of "dead"
(idle) users and new users cannot register accounts with the same name
and you have resources needlessly rotting away.
Ideally I'd like to see the ability to manually delete users and
automatically idle accounts that have been idle for more than X days
(say a year or two).

That makes sense. Just a aesthetic thing, on the edit user page, the header
says:
"You can change a user's profile, give them global admin privileges or even
delete them permanently."
Might remove that last part, as it is a little confusing.
Thanks.

btw, kudos to the documentation team. Installation on JBoss 4.x was a cinch
following the instructions to the letter.

We don't provide a way to delete a user, but it is possible to disable
users. We did that for auditing purposes, but I'm not sure it's
necessary. We might have to reassess that decision.
For the SQL saavy: if a user has no weblogs and no weblog entries, you
should be able to delete them from the database (i.e. the rolleruser
table) without a problem.
