Mandrake is awesome.

Only thing from STOCK rom you have to add to your compile line is: -lcrypt

This will add the crypt library.  It should use GCC as the compiler.

ROM was made for linux, and going to cgywin is porting it there, not vice
versa.

Some nice things, use the pthread functionality and get rid of delays like
gethostbyaddr functions cause.

Yes, Mandrake does rule :)

One simple reason, version 8.1 has EXT3 installed.  a Journaling File
System(JFS) which provides fast reboots (no more scan disk or fsck) and a
well robust system.
