>>>Jesus man, there are a thousand ways to do a single thing
Sure, but there's only 1 right way. When it comes down to it, I HAVE
seen people try it his way, and, well, they gave up because of the fact
that there's more to it than just cutting and pasting code. When dealing
with structures that are required to run a certain way, it's often not a
good thing to "guess" at how things will work, otherwise you'll run into
problems. Going line by line from one patch to another just won't cut it
in this case. It would be nice if it did, but unfortunately, it won't.

>>And who knows, you dont know his ability level, he might whoop it out
and make you look like a chump for saying that...
He might, but as I said, much better than him have tried. I know people
who have had muds up and running for quite some time that have tried it
and just gave up, simply because it IS more work than it's worth.

I'm not saying my opinion's the only one that matters, but in this case,
my opinion is based on experience, and that's what matters. I've been
there, I've DONE that, I've seen OTHERS do the same thing. If he makes
it, then all the better for him. I was simply trying one final time to
explain just how complicated of a task he's really got ahead of him.

Never once have I flamed him for having his opinion, or doing things his
way, I simply explained there's quite a few others that have tried
(again, some of the best that I know), and none have succeeded, to this
day. There's got to be something there. Sure it can be done, but why do
more work than you have to do?
