>No offense, but I wouldn’t wish fixing bugs in OLC on any code newbie, >unless I really didn’t like them of course....
This is also an opinion of mine. I some what agree that releasing the code may hurt the community but at the same time, I am simply talking about new options or areas to cover. I'm not taking sides on which version of OLC I like better or what not. Yeah, I use olc 2.01 but I still prefer olc 1.81. But at the same time, I'd much rather use rom without olc. I tried to cover all of these bases when I first thought about using olc. I modified and fixed bugs in the Arced Area Editor for Rom24b6 now called SMed that I released on Kyndigs site and on my startermud site as well. There are many options for new coders to choose. I wanted a variety of choices so instead of complaining, I started coding on olc and an offline editor because thats just the kind of person I am. But just because I use OLC 2.01 to add new classes and races to my mud doesn't mean that they aren't well thought out or planned, I just choose to use an easier method of adding them as I see it. OLC 2.01 doesn't modify any of the code within the mud, So that still leaves me to think and plan skills and spells and everything else releated to the new race or class including the addition of new code.
