I think this could equally apply to someone refusing to come back and play nice
until he gets an apology. Not (mind you) that I blame you for being upset. I
just don't think that diminishing the ROM community at large because of the
attitudes or ignorances of a single individual is a proper example to the
bickering 5 year olds.

You have to realize that the sort of person likely to make comments like those,
is not the sort of person to apologize for it afterwards. Regardless of how it
hurts others, or even themselves. I for one don't really use the archives
(except to point newbie questions to it) but I would see it's loss as having a
significant impact on the ROM community as a whole. And it is with this in mind
that I'd like you to reconsider your ultimatim.
