Right...it's pretty well one-way encryption, so you can't get the password
back.
And as you say, just declaring NOCRYPT will screw up the current pfiles.
So, about the only thing you can do now is to start saving unencrypted
passwords and use pfile versioning to decide what type of pfile is being
loaded.

Personally, I wouldn't actually save them in plain text... but maybe roast
them in a way that the passwords are retrievable without being immediately
recognized by someone who gets a glimpse of one (base64 encoding comes to
mind).
