I'm just curious, not to sound hypercritical or anything, but if you've
got an 8 year old codebase (unless it's not your own but just someone's
you work on), don't you recognize the chunks of code it's referencing in
the patch? I mean at the very least you should be able to see the file
and line # being referenced in the patch, go to that spot in your code,
and look around for matching lines, or do a search in your editor for
it... that's how I've always put in patches, because my own code is far
from stock...
