Thank god I do have olc in. It was put in way back in 96 or so.
I am just trying to find out if it adds the extra white space.
Ideally I would love to be able to run the patch on the version of
2.4b2 I have downloaded so I can compare and see what was
added to each function/struct. Araxis Merge rules when it comes
to comparing files. If I can figure out how the patch works, perhaps
I can patch it all in manually. then diff. I just need to understand out
the patch puts it all together. (and no ... the patch doesn't run on my
server)

If the game is as modified as you say it is, patch just won't work, forget
that idea. Your best bet is to find something that's descriptive of what
needs to be done and go from there. I don't know if you have olc installed
(probably not since you don't have mprogs), but you can find a
mob/room/object program download @ http://olc.wolfstream.net/downloads/ .
It's been a while since I put that in, so I really (reaaaally) can't
remember whether or not it's olc dependent, but it's what you need, it's
got a pretty straight forward walkthrough for room and object (and I do
believe mob) programs. Like I said, patch isn't something that'll work if
the game is severely modified.
