 In regards to not providing any code in regards to strsave, I didn't
do this because I simply used the same method that is already in rom..
Look at the do_delete function which has it or grep the source...
However, I'm not using strsave anymore.

 Now that I look at it.. Some of the problems I was having may have
been associated with my mud.. I've made changes to various files and
functions that call do_quit like in update.c autosave/autoquit.. But
that still doesn't explain why I'm not fully disconnected from other
muds that I play online. I was playing Achaea earlier, then Discworld
and everything is perfect.. It's only Diku/Merc/Rom muds I'm not fully
disconnected from.. Guess it's only a issue I had..
