Hello all, Just as a follow up to that post.. (Done on windows w/cygwin) Using grep, gdb, and editplus 2 with the search all files features, I once removed all skills, spells, fight.c and related code in roughly 3 hours. I was down to the network code while still having the areas load, all the imm commands and chat features.. If you want something different in regards to combat and want advantages over the stock system, do as I did and put the skill/spell system in the way you think/want/feel it should work.. It's not at hard as it seems if you've spent enough time on Rom to understand it.. And you don't have to be an expert c coder to do it as I surely am not..
Anyway, This is just an idea thats fairly quick to do. Chris
